SOJ 562 Independent Readings and Research
To pursue independent study of a topic not dealt with in currently available courses but relevant to sociological inquiry. Students develop a proposal with approval of a faculty advisor and must have approval of the instructor who will direct the study. Current areas for study are: social justice, advanced social psychology, demography, environmental justice, environmental racism, religion, urban studies, social theorists, aging, political economy, political sociology, sociology of sports and other topics as approved by instructor of the course.
