Joint Major

A student can obtain a single bachelor’s degree with multiple joint majors, where the requirements of all distinct majors are satisfied. 

  1. The student will receive a single degree that acknowledges all joint majors.
  2. The program consists of courses required to meet the degree requirements for all joint majors, including CORE requirements, foreign language requirements, and general education requirements for the degree. 
  3. The same coursework can be applied towards the fulfillment of requirements for multiple majors.
  4. The student enrolled in joint majors is assigned faculty advisors from respective majors. The Senior Audit will be submitted for all joint majors. 
  5. The student is not allowed to take joint majors if there are significant overlapping contents. For example, the following joint majors are not allowed:
    1. Computer Science and Data Science
    2. Biology and Biochemistry & Microbiology
    3. Chemistry and Biochemistry & Microbiology
    4. Sociology, Criminal Justice, and Homeland Security
