CHEM 206 EXPERIMENTS IN ORGANIC AND ANALYTICAL CHEMISTRY
This laboratory experiments will include semi-routine multi-step preparations of compounds such as substituted aminonitriles, aminoamides, and heterocyclic compounds. There is frequent utilization of spectroscopic methods of analysis. Volumetric and gravimetric methods are utilized for quantitative analysis of unknown samples for such functions as sulfate, chloride, and oxalate. This course is primarily for chemistry majors, who take this course in lieu of the CHEM 204, concurrently with CHEM 234.
