ECON 370 INTRODUCTION TO ECONOMETRICS

This course deals with the application of statistical methods to economics. It teaches students how to estimate economic relationships, forecast the behavior of economic variables, and carry out hypothesis testing. It is designed to prepare students for further studies and to familiarize them with the basic methodology of empirical research. Students are given hands-on experience on computers and are expected to gain proficiency in the use of specific statistical software.
