FLM 261 SHORT FILM II
A two-semester course sequence that introduces students to the creative processes of film production for both feature presentations and documentaries. The courses are designed for students to become more familiar with the use of high-end equipment for productions, as well as the process for coordinating productions, staging productions, managing productions and team members, and editing final pieces.
The first half of the course (FLM 260) focuses on familiarizing students with the equipment, viewing and discussing example films (ex: Master Class videos), completing original scripts, and holding auditions for actors. The second half (FLM 261) focuses on shooting and editing films. Both semesters incorporate guest visits and lectures from experts and professionals in the industry to provide first-hand and hands-on perspectives for the students.
