SW 255 SOCIAL WELFARE POLICIES AND SERVICES I
This course is the first of two courses in the Policy Sequence that focuses on social welfare, major policies, and program development in the United States. An examination of historical and contemporary social problems and their relationship to social welfare policies, social work, and social justice will also be explored in this course. Special emphasis on how values shaped and influence social welfare systems and social justice to at-risk and oppressed populations.
