The minor in English emphasizes skills in research, writing, and analytical thinking. The hallmark of Fisk’s academic and scholarly excellence is the university’s long history with writing and letters in the Humanities and across disciplines, as well as its focus on cross-disciplinary dialogue as a liberal arts institution. The English minor emphasizes a broad range of literary readings and the cultivation of writing and communication skills in a variety of mediums and formats.
Requirements
The minor in English requires 21 total hours in a 3-credit system. The minor can be declared in conjunction with any major (BA or BS), and follows the basic guidelines already established in the English major. As a minor, it will not require a major field test.
